Helpful Video Shortcuts

Using shortcuts can greatly increase your productivity, and help keep you focused when doing your courses. For example, pressing the spacebar will pause the video you are watching, giving you a chance to take notes. To resume playback, simply press the spacebar again.

Let’s look at a few other tips and tricks to improve your learning experience with Lobster Ink:

Full screen:
There are two ways to enter full screen mode: either click the ‘full screen’ icon, or press the ‘F’ key on your keyboard. To exit full screen mode, press the ‘esc’ key.

Language subtitles:
To insert subtitles, simply click on the language icon, and again on your preferred language.

Video speed:
Changing the playback speed is especially useful if you have subtitles selected, because you’ll have more time to grasp the facts as they appear on screen. For this, simply press the ‘shift’ and ‘back’ keys, at the same time.

If you’d like to increase the video speed, or change it back to normal speed, press the ‘shift’ and ‘forward’ keys.

Mute the video:
If you need to mute your video, simply press the ‘M’ key on your keyboard.

Restart the video:
Does it feel like you’ve missed something important? No problem. To replay a video lesson from the beginning, press the ‘Q’ key on your keyboard.

Go ahead and share these shortcuts with your colleagues, and enjoy putting them to good use! Do you know of any other shortcuts that haven’t been listed here? Or any ideas how the shortcuts listed here can be used to enhance the learning experience?
