This month’s Hotel of the Month award goes to Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach for completing an impressive 2448 subjects.
Fasil Tsegaw, Cluster Assistant Training Manager and the rest of the team at Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach, supported their associates by providing them with the tools they need to ensure a successful learning journey.
“We offer all of our associates access to computers and WIFI, and provide everyone with a Lobster Ink card which provides full details about Lobster Ink and information on how to use the platform,” said Fasil.
They also have a Lobster of the Month recognition scheme and a competition scoreboard that motivates the learners to complete their assigned courses. In addition to the mandatory courses, many learners also completed courses that are outside their job role.
“This is also very useful for those that are considering taking part in the cross-training opportunities that are available to them,” he added.
Keeping learning top of mind is just as important, and Fasil and the rest of the management team ensured that the courses were communicated internally by using Lobster Ink collateral such as posters, while the heads of department encouraged associates to complete the courses and training ambassadors offer guidance and support.
“Lobster Ink definitely provides our team members with best practice techniques and they apply what they have learnt through the courses to their jobs on a day-to-day basis” Fasil concluded.
