Well done to February’s Hotel of the Month winner W Hotels - Amman Jordan. Learning and Development Manager, Noran Masri says that to implement a culture of learning there needs to be the right resources. At W Hotels - Amman Jordan a learning centre was created with 15 computers for all their associates to use whenever needed, allowing them to utilise a space where they can focus their attention on learning. It also gives managers more time for their daily business operations.
Noran also suggests that for successful learning outcomes, there needs to be persistent follow-ups from the Learning and Development managers, some healthy competition between associates (like the Lobster Ink medals) and clear discussion with associates on the importance of developing their skills to increase their chances of career growth.
Giving your learners the right tools can definitely encourage more active participation in learning, resulting in a win-win situation for associates, managers and Guests.
