Training and working can be a challenging task in the hospitality industry. However, to encourage a team to participate in learning is an admirable quality with a fulfilling outcome.
When teams work together success is inevitable. Knowing that you can rely on others to help overcome obstacles will help to achieve goals. One establishment that shares this belief is Lobster Ink’s Hotel of the Month for July 2017, Kempinski Al Othman Hotel, Al Khobar.
During the month of July, Kempinski Al Othman Hotel, Al Khobar completed a total of 1 609 subjects with an average score of 79%. Congratulations to People Training Manager, Shuvro Shankar Sanyal who did such an outstanding job in motivating his team to achieve these results.
Shuvro said he has noticed a great change with learners who have been learning with Lobster Ink. ''Team members have definitely evolved in their practical tasks in relation with completing their relevant course.’’ Shuvro also added that it helped their local team members who are not from hospitality backgrounds. “They have truly embraced this learning platform and are the biggest beneficiaries of Lobster Ink.''
Shuvro believes that learning needs to be accessible, and so a dedicated space called the Lobster Ink training room was set up. The room is open 24/7, ensuring that the first stage of accessibility is flawless. He also added that they’ve invested in four new iPads, to ensure that mobile learning (on the job) can take place.
