Although their respective journeys are unique, the golden thread is their evergreen motivation and grit. These remarkable individuals are a testament to the power of taking agency over your learning. Where will your learning journey lead you?

Helen Sibuyi

Portofino, Italy was a far away dot on the map when Helen was working in her parents' street vending business in Hazyview, South Africa. But after being introduced to the world of hospitality through Lobster Ink and the Good Work Foundation, Helen's passion for learning has taken her on a remarkable journey. Starting with a scholarship from the South African College for Tourism, to trainee chef at one of South Africa's top resorts, all the way to Portofino to show the world her incredible talent.

Agnes Tjirare

Agnes' insatiable passion for conserving the beauty of her home country of Namibia has led her to achieve the remarkable. She has always had an affinity for nature and the power of the land. As her career progressed Agnes' fostered her passion toward actively protecting Namibia's landscape by pursuing her studies in Environmental Law. Her passion has driven her from becoming one of the first female guides at Wilderness Safaris to becoming a coordinator for Children in the Wilderness.

Clifford Kafesu

Arriving in South Africa as an economic refugee from Zimbabwe with very little to his name, Clifford Kafesu's journey has been filled with determination and grit. A chance encounter in a Franschoek parking lot led him to be included in a hospitality training course that ultimately resulted in Clifford managing one of South Africa's best fine-dining restaurants in the culinary capital of Cape Town.
